Remember when Cabo was strictly for college Spring Break, well this is not your daughters spring break locale. Things have changed. This Latin American destination has the highest concentration of luxury travel brands in Mexico.
Los Cabos includes two towns, Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo. If you can’t decide between a mountain, ocean, or desert view – no need. Los Cabos caters to all, with excursions to consider in each landscape.
Did I mention you can go year-round?
Cabo is known for luxury resorts that can keep you fully occupied your entire vacation but for those that like to venture, here are some of my favorite towns to explore:
Cabo San Lucas: Where you will find all the tourist attractions if you are looking to socialize and find the party scene
San José del Cabo: Less of a party town than Cabo San Lucas that attracts travelers looking for a cultural or more authentic experience. Laid-back and quaint city center.
La Paz: Great for nature lovers. Swim or paddle board with whale sharks or snorkel in the sea lion sanctuary.
Todos Santos: Marie Claire says go now! Not fully yet discovered, great surf and local atmosphere for hippy, eco-conscious travelers. Walk cobblestone streets filled with artisanal boutiques and enjoy a more tranquil side of Baja
Cabo Pulmo: great for scuba, this is a UNESCO World Heritage sight and national park with incredible marine life
With championship golf courses, stunning spas and the development of so many luxury resorts, Los Cabos has become a resort destination with plenty of tours that allow you to really get to know the destination. Los Cabos caters to excursions in every landscape. Whether your version of enjoyment is a high adventure eco-friendly ATV tour or a more relaxing yacht dinner cruise, we can make it happen.
Camel Safari: Set out on a voyage of unique proportions and discover the Baja desert by camel. Finish the guided tour with a Mexican lunch and tequila tasting.
Whale Watching: Private and group charters are available. Your best chances of seeing whales is from November to April.
Ziplining: Fly across picturesque desert canyons.
Sport Fishing: Set up a half or full day of fishing with local experts.
Each town has its own set of advantages and pairing the right accommodation with the activities that suit your needs will make the trip that much more memorable.
On the Sea of Cortés in Baja, at the edge of the horizon, Viceroy Los Cabos is like no other place on earth. The architecturally stunning concept by Miguel Angel Aragonés lures you into a quiet state of mind with its cinematic views and striking architecture around every turn.
Be a part of the scene and restore your spirit with immersive experiences throughout the hotel. The resort is crowned by five restaurants and lounges, a rooftop bar and a holistic-focused spa. The historic Colonial streets of San José del Cabo are nearby, as are endless opportunities for outdoor adventure on land and sea.

Sounds nice, we hear it a lot without any real context and I’ve learned most of my clients think it’s a fancy way of saying a spa trip. While a nice spa could be part of your wellness vacation, it’s not what defines it.
Wellness is tied to mindfulness. Often times we travel and its a time to over indulge, learn, and explore. All good things, but sometimes this form of traveling can leave us needing a vacation when we return home exhausted. There is a time and season for certain kinds of travel, and I think after the year we’ve had – Wellness Travel is going to be vital to healing our and resorting a sense of well-being while on vacation.
The goal is stress reduction and overall physical and mental healing – so do what you love. Surfing, running, hiking, exploring, eating – do whatever makes you feel rejuvenated. The point is to be intentional in the present moment and disconnect from every day life and hopefully return home with a clear mind, fully relaxed.
Sounds nice right? Wellness Travel is all about intent.
My goal is to arrange anything from adrenaline-inducing, off-road adventure to relaxing private sunset sails. It’s all about discover what fits you best.
