• Excursion 1, Chania to Elafonisi: Perfect for a day trip from Chania, Elafonisi boasts shimmering pink sands and clear blue waters with unique flora fauna specific to this area. Enjoy a day relaxing by the beach and discovering the beauty of nature.
• Excursion 2, Chania to Falassarna: White sand, turquoise waters, magical sunset; Three kilometers of endless beauty in one of the most stunning beaches of the Mediterranean, north of which lies the ancient Falassarna. Out of the three excursions, Falassarna is the best beach for swimming.
• Excursion 3, Chain to Balos: Find yourself in the heavenly lagoon of Balos, the most photographed beach of Crete. Relax in the shallow green and turquoise waters, observe the sand with the pink shades from millions of broken shells. Two islets nearby, Gramvousa and Agria Gramvousa, form a protective ring.

Not to Miss! Theodorou Island

Another favorite excursion option is Theodorou Island; a beautiful small island for relaxation, swimming and diving.

Thodorou island is the closest destination to the Old Venetian Port of Chania so it’s great for half-day excursions. Theodorou Island is a protected area, due to the variety and rarity of plants and animals and a really unique place for its historical remains. As you cruise you’ll see ruins of a Venetian castle built in 1537. If you’re lucky, you may encounter the famous wild goats of Crete. While taking in the sites, enjoy an open bar, crystal clear waters, and a unique snorkeling experience.

East Crete: Agios Nikolaos & Elounda

Agios Nikolaos is home to a Melted & Moved hotel favorite.

Minos Beach Art Hotel, a favorite among people who value honesty and authenticity, offers a wonderful stay in minimalist settings.

Minos Beach, with its distinctive Cretan architecture, has earned a reputation for being boutique and sophisticated, with personal unobtrusive service and one of the best restaurants in the area (my opinion). Best for those looking for privacy and spacious accommodations with its bungalow style rooms while still having all the amenities of a resort.

From Agios Nikolaos, hop on a boat cruise to Spinalonga Island.

From 1905 to 1957, it was Greece’s designated leper colony. It was this story that inspired the award-winning novel by Victoria Hislop, “The Island”, which in turn was developed into Greece’s highest-rated television drama. Today, you can take a boat or swim across and you’ll still feel the mystical energy and weighty history that envelops the rock island.

This extraordinary trip is full of surprises. While sailing by picturesque beaches, secluded rocky coves and hidden caves you may come across beautiful dolphins, rare turtles and various types of birds.

Not to miss! Cretan Dinner Experience

Clients have described this experience as spiritual. Some things are difficult to express since what these locals create is intangible, but this is what travel is all about: you will feel immersed in the mountain air 3,000 feet above sea level, listening to live music as the sun sets and you take in the breathtaking view before ending the night under the stars.

Best for groups or those hoping to get off the beaten path, as you will travel along dirt roads in a luxury SUV, stopping at a town along the way and mingling with locals.
